Delivering his sermon during Eid al-Adha’s (Feast of Sacrifice) prayer in Iran’s Qom, Ayatollah Arafi, Head of the Iranian seminaries stated, “Performing prayer is a manifestation of the Islamic unity as well as a display of social aspects of the Islamic holidays. In this regard, one must pay careful attention to the philosophy of holding such religious rituals and the reasons behind them,”
He added, “Eid al-Adha marks the end of the great Hajj ceremony; we’ve already separated our way from the politically-slaved Saudi Wahhabi Muftis who are trying to turn the Hajj ritual, this great Muslim gathering, into tourism,”
“From that very same foundation of God’s house called Mecca, Al Saud has sent a message to the world, a message of Takfirism, cruelty and inhumanity. They twist the Islamic teachings and further engage in the most vicious atrocities against humanity,” Hawzah quoted ayatollah Arafi as saying.
Head of the Iranian Islamic Seminaries further added, “This year, Al Saud did not let Iranians to take part in Hajj rituals, but everyone must be aware of the fact that although we could not perform the hajj this year, but our hearts are with the real owner of the holy Ka’ba and we do not give up this path of God for anything else,”
“We’ve been witnessing so much cruelty in Bahrain in recent years, the great Bahraini leader, Ayatollah Isa Qassim was stripped of his nationality and the Bahraini regime is trying to prosecute him in court; the Iranians as well as all the other free Shiites and Muslims in the world condemn such act of injustice and warn the Bahraini regime that their path will get them nowhere,” Ayatollah Arafi concluded.
